September 29, 2026 - Innovation Saskatchewan’s Research + Technology (R+T) Parks in Regina and Saskatoon help innovators bring ideas to life, find community, scale with ease and access specialized spaces designed to support growth. Together, the parks form Canada’s only interconnected dual research and technology park network and are a key part of how Innovation Saskatchewan supports the province’s research and technology sectors.

The parks have deep roots in Saskatchewan’s innovation story. R+T Park Saskatoon opened in 1980 to attract advanced scientific and technological research and business to the province, followed by R+T Park Regina in 2000. Today, both are located next to the province’s key post-secondary institutes and bring researchers, technology companies, entrepreneurs, and industry partners together in environments built for collaboration.

That environment extends well beyond office space. Innovators across both parks have access to Collider, Innovation Saskatchewan’s tech-focused coworking spaces, along with Saskatchewan’s only 5G Innovation Labs. As companies grow, adaptable offices, and specialized infrastructure allow them to expand without leaving the communities and connections they have built.

The parks also connect innovators to some of Saskatchewan’s leading research expertise. Saskatoon’s research community includes organizations such as the Canadian Light Source, Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization and Sylvia Fedoruk Canadian Centre for Nuclear Innovation. In Regina, the park is home to organizations such as the Petroleum Technology Research Centre and companies working across energy, environmental sciences, agriculture and technology.

Innovation Saskatchewan complements this infrastructure with programs that support innovation from research and early investment through commercialization and adoption. The Innovation and Science Fund strengthens research and science capacity, while the Saskatchewan Technology Startup Incentive encourages private investment in early-stage technology companies. As innovations move toward market, the Saskatchewan Advantage Innovation Fund and Agtech Growth Fund help companies accelerate commercialization, and the Made In Saskatchewan Technology Program and Innovation Challenge create opportunities to develop and test solutions with government partners. This support extends across the broader innovation ecosystem through funding for research institutes and projects and support for incubators including Co.  Labs and Cultivator.

Together, these supports help address the practical challenges innovators face as they grow. Researchers need pathways to move discoveries forward, startups need capital and opportunities to prove their technology and growing companies need talent, specialized infrastructure and connections to new partners and markets.

By bringing those elements together across Regina and Saskatoon, Innovation Saskatchewan is creating a connected environment where innovators can move from research and development through commercialization and growth. It is an approach grounded in a simple idea: when Saskatchewan innovators have the support they need to succeed, they can create new technologies, companies, jobs and opportunities that benefit the province.
